Our Story
Like many businesses, successes are often born out of failures. Flurish is no different. Flender Ireland, an Irish Peer-To-Peer (P2P) lending platform was founded by three friends in 2018. The gap was obvious - Irish SMEs were credit starved by traditional lenders. SMEs were either not receiving funding, or receiving funding too slowly. The loan products available to SMEs also hadn’t changed in hundreds of years. There had to be a better way. As Flender progressed, two key challenges emerged: (i) There wasn’t enough scale in P2P lenders looking to invest in Irish SMEs, to meet the SME’s demand for credit. (ii) The Pandemic. Yeh, that thing. Flurish was established in early 2024 with a fresh management team, new innovative lending products and institutional funding relationships - making it ready to be the go-to funding partner for Irish SMEs.
